DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Professor MK Anwar released on bail on Friday (February 19).

BNP leader Professor Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said Professor Anwar was under treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in city before his release.

He will continue taking treatment here at BSMMU, he added.

Two sabotage cases were filed against the BNP leader with Badda and Mugda police stations in city during the BNP-Jamaat enforced countrywide blockade earlier in 2015.

MK Anwar got bail from the High Court (HC) on February 9 this year.
