DHAKA: Election Commission (EC) secretary Sirajul Islam said that no mayoral campaign with symbol is permitted before December 14.

Sirajul Islam made this assertion after a meeting in EC to the reporters on Wednesday (December 9).

EC secretary said, "It will be a matter of discrimination for the independent candidates as symbols for them will be allotted after December 14”.

So, the EC has decided not to permit any mayoral candidate to start campaign before December 14.
