12 Jamaat-Shibir men among 42 held in Satkhira

SATKHIRA: Police, in overnight drives, detained 42 including 12 leaders and activists of local units of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir from eight thanas of the district.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Satkhira district special branch (SB) of police Enamul Haque said 11 Jamaat men and one Shibir activist was detained in accusation of planning for sabotaging.

Others are accused in several cases, he added.
