DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia paid tribute to martyred intellectuals in city’s Mirpur area on Monday (December 14).

The BNP chief accompanied by party leaders will place the wreath at Martyred Intellectuals Memorial around 10:15am.

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgor, standing committee members Moudud Ahmad, Dr Abdul Moin Khan, vice chairman Semila Rahman, joint secretary general advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP chairperson’s personal secretary advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Mahila Dal general secretary Shirin Sultana accompanied the party chief.

Leaders-activists of BNP and its front organizations were also present during the time.

Moreover, BNP will arrange a discussion at National Press Club auditorium in city to pay homage to the martyred intellectuals at 3:00pm on the day.

A press release, sent by BNP joint-secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, told the media on Sunday (December 13).
