FROM SAVAR: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia cancelled her programmes to pay tribute to the martyrs of Liberation War at the National Mausoleum on the occasion of Victory Day.

She, accompanied by senior leaders of the party, placed floral wreaths at the National Mausoleum in Savar, on outskirts of Dhaka city, around 10:50am Wednesday (December 16).

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, joint secretaries general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and Mahbub Uddin Khohon, Standing Committee member Abdul Moeen Khan, Advocate Sanaullah Mia, leaders-activists of Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and other front organizations were present.
