6 ‘Shibir’ men held in city

DHAKA: Police detained six alleged Chhatra Shibir activists from several areas of Rampura in city early Tuesday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said acting on tip-off police conducted the drive in several students’ messes, and rented houses and detained them.

Police also seized one kilogram gunpowder from their possession, he added.
