BOGRA: A district court has granted 3-day remand for four members of Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) members each.

District senior judicial magistrate court magistrate Qamruzzaman passed the order on Tuesday afternoon responding to the 10-day remand plea by police.

Earlier in the day, police informed the media that they have detained four JMB members – Fazle Rabbi (58) and his son Ahammad Saifullah Sadiq, student of Carmichael College in Rangpur; Osama bin Anis (19), son of Anisur Rahman and Anis’ son-in-law Imamus Saqlain alias Rihan (23) of Gabtali upazila.

Senior assistant police super (ASP B-Circle) and also police media cell in-charge Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said that police acting on a tip-off conducted a drive at the house of Anisur Rahman and detained the JMB men as they were in a secrete meeting.
