JESSORE: Police arrested a upazila unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal president from Bagharpara of the district Wednesday night.

The arrestee was identified as Nazmul Al Mamun, president of Bagharpara Upazila unit JCD.

Confirming the matter officer-in-charge (OC) of Bagharpara Thana Choiruddin Ahmed told banglanews that a court issued arrest warrant against Nazmul.

Meanwhile, Bagharpara Upazila unit BNP president TS Aiyub alleged that police held him to harass for working in support of BNP mayoral runner in the impending municipal polls.
