DHAKA: Metropolitan additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Sanowar Hossain said that the arrested JMB members of city’s Mirpur area used to supply bombs across the country.

He made this assertion at a press briefing at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media center in city Friday afternoon (December 25).

The ADC said that they arrested JMB member Abu Sayeed after getting information from the arrested JMB military chief Albani.

Later on information from the arrestees, law enforcers conducted the 14-hour drive in a house in city’s MIrpur area on Thursday.

According to the police official, the JMB men were taking preparation to conduct attacks during the upcoming municipality polls and on special days to announce their existence.

However, on Thursday drive, law enforcers arrested three JMB militants and four others on suspicion.

They also seized 18-grenades and a huge amount of explosives during the drive.
