JAMALPUR: BNP office of Sarishabari in Jamalpur came under attack allegedly by activists of ruling Awami League centering the municipal elections.

Attackers ransacked the office located at Aramnagar Bazar in the upazila around 9:30pm of Saturday.

Six motorcycles parked in front of the office were also torched and some nearby business firms ware vandalized. 

At least 10 people were injured during chase and counter chase between two rival groups.

Locals said supporters of AL mayoral candidate Rukanuzzaman brought out a procession around 9:30pm. When it reached Aramnagar Bazar, some youths attacked the BNP office.
