MYMENSINGH: A group of miscreants hacked dead an activist of ruling Awami League’s youth front Jubo League in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh district.

The victim was identified as Parvez (30), son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Charpara of Mymensingh town.

Locals said that the miscreants hacked and stabbed Parvez around 10:00pm on Friday and left the place.

However, protesting the murder, Jubo League activists blocked Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 11:00pm on the day.

Officer-in-charge (OC) Moniruzzaman said that they are investigating the matter.
