Islami Oikya Jote quits 20-party alliance

DHAKA: Islami Oikya Jote declared to quit BNP led 20-party alliance on Thursday (January 7).

Party chairman Abdul Latif Nezami made the announcement at its tri-anneal national council arranged at The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in city.

Regarding reason behind the quit from the alliance, Nezami said they left the alliance to pay more attention in party and more organize it.
 


When queried about any pressure from government, he replied that there was no pressure of government to quit the alliance.

 ‘We have left the alliance for own need. We have no allegation, discontent to BNP,’ he added.
