DHAKA: Re-voting in 51 centers of 19 municipalities ended and counting is underway on Tuesday (January 12).

The voting, started at 8:00am, ended at 4:00pm on the day.

Earlier, voting was postponed due to violence and other irregularities on December 30.

The Election Commission (EC) also arranged voting in all 12 centers of Madhabdi municipality, where voting was scrapped due to irregularities on December 30.

Mayor and councilors have been vying in the polls for seven mayoral positions, 27 reserved councilors’ positions and 38 councilors’ positions in those municipalities.
