DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Dr RA Gani has died at Square Hospital in city early hours of Friday. He was 89.

He breathed his last around 12:30 am at the hospital where he had been kept on life support since Wednesday after his condition deteriorated.

BNP media wing member Shairul Kabir Khan informed the matter to banglanews.

Square Hospital customer service officer Golam Mowla said the body of RA Gani has been kept at mortuary of the hospital.His body will be taken to his residence on Friday morning.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Eidgah Jame mosque in city’s Dhanmondi area after Jumma’h and then he will be buried at Banani graveyard.

On January 6, RA Gani was admitted to the hospital in city's Panthapath area as he fell sick and complained of respiratory problems.
