GAIBANDHA: Police arrested Jamaat-e-Islam’s Sandarganj unit secretary Rafiqul Islam (45), who is one of the accused in the four-police murder case.

He was arrested from Sandarganj's Pashchim Jhinia Bazar area on Wednesday (March 2). He is the inhabitant of Pashchim Jhinia village.

Sandarganj Thana's officer-in-charge (OC) Israil Hossain informed banglanews, ‘Rafiqul is a convicted in four-police murder case. He was in hiding all these days’.

‘After getting information of his arrival at his home, we arrested him.’

The OC also said, ‘After the interrogation, he will be sent to jail through court's decision’.
