DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to hold a meeting with top leaders of the party at her Gulshan political office on Tuesday night (April 19).

Chairperson’s press wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews around 10:00am.

Party sources said she has called the meeting to discuss about the arrest of journalist Shafik Rehman and her adviser and also Gazipur City Corporation mayor Abdul Mannan.

All the standing committee members, vice-chairmen, chairperson’s advisers, organizing secretary and all senior leaders, who are staying in Dhaka, were asked to attend the meeting, sources added.
