GAZIPUR: The family members met death row war crimes convict Jamaat leader Motiur Rahman Nizami at Kashimpur jail on Friday (May 6) morning.
His wife, two sons, daughters and two daughter-in-laws met him at jail gate at 10:55am.
Prashanta Kumar Banik, Super of Kashimpur Jail part -2, said that Nizami’s family members were allowed to meet him after they applied for meeting him.
Supreme Court (SC) Appellate Division upheld death penalty to Nizami rejecting his plea to review the death sentence, handed down to him by International Crimes Tribunal for his crimes against humanity during Liberation War 1971.
SC bench led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order on Thursday (May 5).
