27 Jamaat-Shibir men among 52 held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: In an overnight drive, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) personnel detained 52 people including 27 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from various areas of the town on Friday (May 13).

Confirming the matter, RMP spokesperson Ifte Khair Alam told banglanews that police conducted the drives from 12:00am to 6:00am.

Police has been conducting the drives for the last few days, he added.
