RANGPUR: Police arrested at least 130 people including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami by conducting drives in eight upazilas in the district on Wednesday (May 18).
Rangpur additional police super (ASP) Mohammad Al Faruq informed banglanews that the arrestees were warranted and charge-sheeted.
Police couldn’t arrest them as they were fugitive, he added.
They were accused in stealing, robbery, sabotage and other cases.
The arrestees have been sent to jail through the court, the ASP said.
