BARISAL: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was hacked to death and two others were injured in infighting on Friday night (May 28).

The deceased, identified as Rezaul Islam Reza (26), was an ex-student of Barisal Polytechnic College.

However, the injured were admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital in Barisal in a critical condition.

Barisal Metropolitan Kotwali Thana officer-in-charge (OC) confirmed the matter to banglanews saying that a group of miscreants attacked Reza and two others with sharp weapons leaving all of them badly injured.

Later, students came and rushed them to the hospital where on-duty doctor declared Reza dead.

However, police brought the situation of the campus under their control, OC claimed.
