DHAKA: BNP has taken a daylong program to observe the 35th death anniversary of its founder and also former president Ziaur Rahman.

The party flag will be half-mast and black flag will be hoisted at BNP central office in city’s Nayapaltan area around 6:00am Monday (May 30), said a press release on Sunday (May 29).

Later, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will place wreath at Ziaur Rahman’s grave at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area in city around 10:00am.

Jatiyatabadi Ulema Dal will arrange a Quran khawani and milad mahfil there.

Khaleda Zia will inaugurate a blood donation program to be arranged by Doctor’s Association of Bangladesh (DAB) on the premises of Zia’s grave.

Moreover, the DAB will arrange free medical treatment and distribute medicine in front of the party office from 9:00am to 4:00pm on the day.

Khaleda Zia will distribute food to the poor in different areas in the capital.
