RANGPUR: In overnight drives, police arrested 73 accused, including an activist of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, in several violence and petrol bomb cases filed with Rangpur and Mithapukur police stations.

Police conducted the drives from Monday night to Tuesday morning (May 31).

Confirming the matter, Mithapukur Police Station OC Humayun Kabir told banglanews that name of all the detained are on warrant list.

Rangpur additional police super Abdullah Al Faruq said police will continue the drives.
