SIRAJGANJ: Police on Tuesday (May 31) arrested district unit secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in seven cases filed on charge of creating sabotage and obstructing police from discharging their duties.

The arrestee was identified as Jahidul Islam, Sirajganj district Jamaat-e-Islami secretary, hailed from Bhangabari area in Sirajganj municipality.

Sirajganj Thana OC Habibul Islam told banglanews that there are seven cases filed against the Jamaat leader on charge of attacking police, and obstructing them from discharging their duties and creating sabotage in the area.
