RANGPUR: At least 20 people were injured in a post-poll violence at Badarganj Upazila of the district on Wednesday (June 1).

Local and police source said that the violence occurred between the supporters of winner and defeated candidates in Kazipara union.

Later injured were rescued and sent to the Upazila Health Complex.

Badarganj Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nurul Islam told that after being informed by the locals police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
