DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia hosted an iftar mahfil for the leaders of professional organizations and distinguished citizens on Sunday (June 12).

The program was organized at International Convention Center in city’s Bashundhara area in the evening.

Before the iftar mahfil, Khaleda Zia exchanged greeting with organization leaders, educationalists, singers, writers, journalists, former defense officers and civil officers.

She also prayed for peace and progress for Muslim ummah during iftar.

The BNP leaders including secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee members Dr Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain and Barrister Moudud Ahmed, among others, also attended the event.
