DHAKA: The Awami League (AL)-led 14-party ruling alliance will observe mass resistance week across the country from July 15 as protest of secret killing, kidnapping, vandalism and militancy of BNP and its ally Jamaat-e-Islami.

The declaration came from a human-chain program participated by 14-party alliance members from city’s Gabtali area to Jatrabari from 3:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday (June 19) as a protest against recent secret killings, terrorism and anti-state conspiracies.

The leaders said they will prevent assassinations by BNP-Jamaat along with people of the country.

AL senior leader and also road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said the BNP-Jamaat alliance has become stronger and people will defeat them by taking stern actions.

The human chain has also been arranged across the country.
