GAIBANDHA: Police arrested nine people including three BNP-Jamaat activists conducting a special drive at seven upazilas of the district.

The drive was conducted from Wednesday (June 22) night to Thursday (June 23) morning. In the meantime, one BNP man and two Jamaat men were held then.

District Police Control Room Operator Asaddujjaman Asad told that other six arrestees were accused of arrest warrant, theft, extortion, vandalism, sabotage and cases under narcotics control. 

District additional Police Super Faruk Ahmed said that the arrestees will be sent to the jail through the court.
