DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Lieutenant General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman and his wife were injured in a road accident while going to Syedpur Airport in Nilphamary from Thakurgaon district.

They are currently admitted at Dinajpur Heart Foundation Hospital.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, BNP chairperson press wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan said that the accident happened on Saturday afternoon (June 25).

He said they were scheduled to return Dhaka, but met accident on the way.
