DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed alleged that the incidents of kidnapping, extrajudicial killing and militancy are taking place as the ruling government has no accountability to the nation.
BNP senior leader came up with this assertion while speaking at a discussion at Engineers Institutions, Bangladesh in city’s Ramna area on Sunday (June 26).
Moudud Ahmed also declared that no anarchy will happen if BNP assumes power.
BNP’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi moderated the discussion, organized to observe International Day against Repression.
Rizvi said the country is passing a grievous time and people, who try to protest, are being tortured. Only the nation’s unity can prevent themselves from the misdeeds of incumbent government.
BNP chairperson’s advisor Khandakar Mahbub Hossain, Juba Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain and family members of some victims were present at the event.
