DHAKA: BNP chairperson and also former prime minister Khaleda Zia, in her remark over the Friday’s terrorist attack in Dhaka, asked for unity in standing against terrorism.
She made this urge while addressing a press conference after party standing committee meeting at her political office in city’s Gulshan area on Sunday (July 3).
The BNP chief commented that no achievement will sustain if terrorism cannot be curbed.
‘We should be united against terrorism. This is not the question who will rule the country. We will not stay for a long but the country will.’
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Brigadier General (retd.) ASM Hannan Shah, Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Mirza Abbas and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, among others, were present at the conference.
