BNP observes mourning day July 12

DHAKA: BNP will observe mourning day on July 12 to pay homage to the victims of a café attack Holey Artisan Bakery in city’s Gulshan area.

Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the declaration at the central office in Nayapaltan area in city on Tuesday (July 5).

Black flag will be hoisted in the party officers and the party flag will be half-mast. The members will wear a black batch to mourn the death of the victims.

BNP secretary general said the nation is astonished on the attack and now national unity is very much needed.

Citing that the government should take the responsibility of the Gulshan attack, the BNP leader said government’s failure cost the loss.

BNP standing committee member Gayeshar Chandra Roy and senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, among others, were present.
