SATKHIRA: Police recovered the hanging body of a Jubo League leader from a house in Binerpota area under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday morning (July 12).

The deceased was identified as Abul Hossain Milon, 32, general secretary of Labsa Union Binerpota No 1 Ward Jubo League, hailed from Rajshahi district.

Sadar Thana sub-inspector (SI) Hemel Hossain told banglanews that injury marks were found in several parts of the deceased’s body.

The body was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.

However, Milon’s house owner Rajab Ali said some local youth Ziaur Rahman, Abdul Mannan and Mizanur Rahman beat the Jubo League leader and later handed him to police.

Later, Labsa Union AL president advocate Shahnewaz released him from police custody.

Rajab Ali, however, claimed Milon committed suicide that night.
