RAJSHAHI: Police arrested 46 people including seven activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir by conducting drives from Tuesday morning (July 12) to Wednesday morning (July 13) in the district.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) spokesman and Rajpara zone senior assistant commissioner Ifte Khayer Alam said in a press release.

He said that the arrestees were sent to jail through court.

Among the arrestees seven were arrested by Boalia Model Thana, 18 by Rajpara Thana, 11 by Motihar Thana and three from Shah Makhdum Thana.

According to him, drug peddlers, terrorists and warranted accused were among the arrestees.
