GAIBANDHA: Police detained seven people including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami conducting special drive in the district.

The drive was conducted from Saturday night to Sunday morning (July 24).

District Police Control Room in-charge Ashaduzzaman Asad informed banglanews that two Jamaat men were held from Sundarganj upazila of the district.

Other five men accused of theft, robbery, snatching and liquor cases have been detained, he added.

Gaibandha Additional Police Super Faruque Hossain told banglanews that the detainees will be sent to the jail by the court.
