KHAGRACHARI: Three Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) districts, Khagrachhari, Rangamati and Bandarban, observed a dawn to dusk hartal demanding the repeal of the Chittagong Land Dispute Settlement Commission Amended Act 2016 and protesting the one-sided meeting of Jana Shanghati Samiti (JSS).

Earlier in the day, five Bangali-dominated organizations Parbatya Chittagram Samaadikar Andalan, Parbatya Ganaparishad, Parbatya Nagrik Parishad, Parbatya Bangali Chhatra Parishad and Parbatya Bangali Chhatra Oikko Parishad imposed the strike.

Vehicular movement was hindered from early morning. Shops were closed. Activists of Parbatya Bangali Chhatra Parishad picketed in different parts of the districts.

Moreover, police security was tightened in the areas.
