DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday (September 20) framed charges against 74 leaders and activists of 20-party, including BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in a sabotage case filed with Paltan police station in city.
The court of additional chief Mahanagar Hakim Ali Masud Sheikh framed the charges.
He also fixed December 4 as the date of deposition in presence of over 50 accused, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The court also issued arrest warrant against the fugitives.
On December 9 in 2012, the case was filed on charge of vandalizing vehicles and setting fire to those during a spell of countrywide blockade enforced by BNP-led 18-party.
Paltan Thana sub-inspector (SI) Abu Zafar submitted the chargesheet on July 28 of 2014.
Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukder, Borhan Uddin and Joynul Abedin Mesbah moved in favour of the accused.
