DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Brig. Gen. (retd) ASM Hannan Shah breathed his last at Raffles Heart Centre in Singapore early Tuesday (September 27). He was 77.

Quoting Hannan Shah’s younger son Rezanur Hannan, BNP’s press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan told banglanews that he was suffering from cardiac problems for a long time.

He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Meanwhile, Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed their deep shock at the demise of veteran politician.

They also expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
