DHAKA: A Union Parishad (UP) chairman and his driver were shot to death and four others inured by local Jamaat-e-Islami activists at Daudkandi upazila of the district early Tuesday (November 8).

The deceased were identified as Chairman and Jabo League joint convener Monir Hossain and his driver Mohiuddin.

Locals said that the incident took place over previous enmity.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp sub-inspector told Banglanews that the bodies were kept in the morgue.
