SIRAJGANJ: Two leaders of ruling Awami League (AL) were killed in a road accident near Mulibari crossing area under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday (November 8).

The deceased were identified as joint secretary of Sayedabad union AL unit under Sadar upazila Abdul Quader, son of Fazar Ali Mandal and organizing secretary of Jubo league Abdul Karim, son of Abdul Hamid.

Bangabandhu Bridge West Thana sub-inspector (SI) Ferdous Ali told Banglanews that a speedy bus ran over the duo while they were crossing the road riding on a motorcycle around 2:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, severely injured Abdul Quader died on the way to the Sadar Hospital, he added.
