RANGPUR: Police has arrested 42 charge-sheeted accused along with a Jamaat-e-Islami activist in raids conducted in eight upazilas of the district.
Confirming the matter to Banglanews on Friday (November 11), District Police Control Room said they were arrested from Thursday afternoon (November 10) to Friday morning.
Additional district superintendent of police Abdullah Al-Faruk told Banglanews that police arrested the Jamaat man Abdur Rahim along with the other accused.
They were facing charges of terrorism, sabotage, theft and robbery.
The arrestees were sent to prison after presenting before court on Friday morning.
