DHAKA: BNP will send a letter to the President Abdul Hamid seeking his appointment for discussing over party chief Khaleda Zia’s proposal to reform election commission (EC).

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was addressing a press briefing at party’s Nayapaltan central on Wednesday (November 23).

He further said immediately after Khaleda Zia’s proposal to reform EC, her personal secretary ABM Sattar made a phone call to President’s military secretary and sought an appointment to meet him.

“We are yet to get any response. This is why we have decided to sent a letter,” Mirza Fakhrul added.
