SATKHIRA: A former general secretary of AL Satkhira municipality Abul Kalam Azad, 55, was killed in a road accident in Chowrangi Mor of the town on Saturday (December 17).

Satkhira Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Firoz Hossain Molla confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said the speedy pick up van ran over the pedestrian Abul Kalam Azad from behind in the area around 9:00am, leaving him critically injured.

The AL leader succumbed to his injuries on the way to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
