THAKURGAON: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that any autocratic ruler could not survive in the country. The incumbent government can’t also survive in the power for long, he added.
The BNP’s spokesperson said these while speaking at a view exchange meeting at Auliapur union in Thakurgaon district on Sunday (April 30).
President of the union unit of BNP Abu Zahid presided over the meeting, while district BNP convener Taimur Rahman, Thakurgaon sadar upazila BNP general secretary Abdul Hamid and former chairman of Auliapur UP Jafrullah also spoke it, among others.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “We fought against Pakistan. We removed HM Ershad from the power. Ershad was in the power for nine years. The government is passing its eight years of assuming power. The time is approaching. The incumbent government can’t survive in the power for long.”
