DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu blamed BNP-Jamaat for the attempt to assault him in London.

He came up with the observation to the journalists in a press briefing at Shahjalal International Airport at 9:30am Thursday after returning from London.

Hasanul Haq Inu said, “The attack was politically motivated. The government will continue its move to curb terrorism.”

“Attack on me is similar to attack on media,” he added.

He also praised London police for taking immediate action soon after the incident.

Over dialogue, he said, “The door is open for BNP to sit in dialogue.”
