RAJSHAHI: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5, in a drive, held eight leaders-activists of Rajshahi University unit of Chhatra Shibir including its secretary were held on Wednesday midnight.

Sources said a team of RAB-5 held them from Shibir-controlled Contest Coaching Center, from city’s Malopara area.

The law enforcers, however, recovered around 13 cocktails and a pistol with eight rounds of bullets from the scene.

Moreover they were allegedly involved in violence and anarchy during hartal.

RAB-5 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Latif Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
