MK Anwar forewarns AL leaders

DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member MK Anwar on Sunday said if BNP voted to power, Awami League leaders would be sent to abroad.

The senior leader of the party came up with the forewarning in response to a remark of Awami League leader Mohammad Nasim while speaking at a discussion at the National Press Club.

Buddhist Citizen Society organized the programme titled, ‘29 September a black day of communal violence at Ramu’.

The BNP lawmaker also said, “If BNP voted to power, Awami League leaders will be sent to abroad.”

Anwar alleged that Awami League men were involved in Ramu attack. So, the government did not punish the attackers.

With Professor Dr Sukumol Barua in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by Dhaka University former vice-chancellor Emajjddin Ahamed and opposition chief whip Zainul Abdin Farooque.
