FROM NEW YORK: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith categorically asserted that the next general polls will hold as per the constitution and poll-time interim government likely to be formed only for 45 days instead of three months.
The minister came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion organized at Bangladesh Mission to United Nations at 7:00am Wednesday (BDST).
While talking about opposition’s demand, the minister said, “Khaleda Zia failed to hold any free and fair polls during BNP tenure and it is the reason behind her skeptical position on holding election under incumbent government.”
Muhith also said that Grameen Bank is running sound than previous years.
