PM to phone Khaleda any moment

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to talk to opposition leader and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia over phone with an urge for holding ‘dialogue’ to find a way out of the political deadlock.

Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu confirmed it at around 12 noon Friday.

On October 18, the premier, in an address to the nation, urged opposition party to form an all-party poll-time government. She also urged Khaleda Zia to propose names for the government.

In line with the proposal, Sheikh Hasina had meeting with Jatiya Party and 14-party alliance.

The PM, in several talks including cabinet meeting, mentioned that she would sit with Khaleda Zia and phone her requesting to hold dialogue.
