BNP leader Ishraque Hossain, son of late Dhaka mayor and BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka, has been detained from Motijheel of the capital.

Police detained Ishraque when he was distributing leaflets among the people protesting the abnormal rise in prices of essential commodities.

Ishraque contested in the Dhaka South City Corporation election in 2020 as the party’s mayoral candidate.
