DHAKA: Jatiya Party called dawn-to-dusk hartal for Sunday in four districts of Sylhet division along with Rajshahi, Naogaon and Chandpur protesting arrest of Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad and demanding immediate release.

Naogaon district JP Chairman Advocate Tofazzal Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews while Chandpur JP Chairman Nurul Haque Bachchu Miazi and Rajshahi district general secretary of JP announced the shutdown at a press briefing on Saturday evening.

Besides, Sylhet JP Organizing Secretary Abdullah Siddique confirmed announcement of the hartal for Sunday in the division on Saturday afternoon.
